Redevelopment signals new era for Summit
A new era for Summit Homes Group is officially underway with a $20m redevelopment of the company’s headquarters starting this month.
Summit is revolutionising the way it delivers its new home building journey and opportunities for its employees in Myaree. When the redevelopment is finished it will see a striking and contemporary new staff and client hub unlike anything ever offered by a WA builder.
The new building will be three storeys, comprising of a ground floor client pre-start office and selection area plus two floors of office space and two breakout rooftop terraces.
“The excitement is definitely building,” Managing Director David Simpson said.
“The client pre-start office and selection area is essentially a one-stop-shop for homebuyers and will open up immediately on their arrival. It will house everything you need to build a new home – from tiles and tap ware right through to design inspiration of the latest building techniques,” he said.
The improvements are in line with the company’s Built Around People commitment and with many benefits set for its employees, it also aligns strongly to the builder being named as one of Australia’s and Asia’s best workplaces.
The architect is Taylor Robinson and the scheme was based on a concept by Hubble Design. The building will be built by Perkins who, like Summit, are a proud family-owned business.
Demolition is happening now and will be complete by end-June. Construction will start in July and should be finished by late 2017 with occupancy set for 2018.
